back to work...

after i ate last night me and jordan went and finally did our month worth of laundry that had piled up haha then we all hung out in the living room when everyone was back

i feel much better today so thats good. went back to work and was there from 3-9 at the hub carts, which are the 2 carts on either side of the sorcerers hat. i actually didnt mind it. it was lonely by myself and at times i felt like i needed another person helping me work it but over all it wasnt real busy and i made it through lol it was pretty cold today which didnt make me very happy but again i made it through haha tomorrow ill be at main entrance cart and/or movieland so i get the beautiful seafoam green and gold suit, fun fun lol oh well its just for a couple days then its back to the old lady outfit ha well i think thats about all so later!!

icky icky sicky

today i woke up not feeling good AT ALL but i still got up and got ready and tried to make it to work...but sadly i was way too nauseous with a HoRrIbLe headache, major sinus drainage, and some other stomach issues that made it basically impossible to be at work, so i called in today. i took some medicine and went back to sleep until 3:30. i never actually threw up which im totally grateful for because thats the worse thing ever, i completely HATE throwing up :( but im feeling better except my headache came back. so i took some more medicine and am now going to try to eat something so that there is something in my tummy besides drainage. well more later, bye!!

off again today!!! woohoo! slept late again, felt great! went over to the pool with 2 roommates and laid out for a couple of hours...the pool was freezing so my feet were the only thing that made it in lol it was pretty cloudy but still warm, the wind didnt blow anywhere near as much today as it had the past couple days and there were a few nice moments with absolutely no clouds and no wind that were so amazing!!! i am so happy i was able to soak up some rays, the sun really does make me feel better and happier and more energized...i could never live in alaska for that very reason lol after that we headed back inside and took showers and got ready and headed over to epcot...this time i didnt get hit in the head with a bird :) we mostly spent our time in the world showcase but actually went in all the countries instead of just walking by all the countries haha we had a lot of fun and then searched for some food to eat since we basically hadnt eaten like anything all day lol then after dinner went over to tomorrow land so i could exchange my shirts i bought yesterday for a smaller size since i over estimated what i would need and that only took like forever!! seriously this girl was either not paying attention or just never learned how to hit the exchange button and follow the directions on the register screen, but we finally got that done and walked back over toward the world showcase but to the front of the lagoon to watch the fireworks show illuminations...it was AMAAAAZZZZZZINGGG!!!!!! i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE fireworks :) :) :) :) :) :) after they were over we came back to the apartment and hung out and watched baby mama...still funny no matter how many times youve seen it haha and now im about to go to sleep...work tomorrow :/ oh well, its just 12:45-8 so its not bad hehe well im out!! later!

adventures around the world...well the world showcase

so i am off today!!! i slept late, very late :) it was nice haha then ate lunch at the apartment and then headed over to epcot to join a roomie for the day. when i got there and met up with her we decided to do the kim possible mission thing where you are given a cell phone that wade sends videos to and you help solve the missions and each country has its own mission. we started our missions in mexico and once we solved that one we headed over to norway to do another one. while standing there getting info on our mission, i felt something hit me in the back of the head and a piece of bread falls to the ground in front of me, so my first thought was that someone threw bread at me. so i start looking around for maybe someone i know or something when a lady standing nearby with her family tells me that it was a bird and i turn around and sure enough there is this bird hopping around behind us trying to find his lost food. yes, a bird hit me in the head, flew right into me. haha it was kind of funny though because i expected it to happen one of these days with all those ridiculous amounts of seagulls that fly so close to everyone. but anyway, we finished that mission and then went over to france to do another. in the middle of our mission we saw marie from the aristocats so i of course had to have a picture with her because i absolutely love her :) after we finished that mission we just wondered around and looked through shops. we went through mousegears and katie showed me this set of 4 different shirts that each had a walt disney quote on them...i found my perfect shirt, the quote on it said why do we have to grow up...my life motto basically haha. i also got one that said happiness is a state of mind thats really cute too. then we headed over to test track to get at least one ride in our day. after our ride we went to innoventions and got to ride a segway!! :) it was super fun but was really kinda hard lol we then went to club cool and tried some different cokes from around the world some of which are actually pretty good. then headed back over to mexico to finish of the day with some nachos and quesadilla :) mmmmmm!! it was delicious!!!! when we came home we got a little crazy and started to make music videos to disney songs hehe over all a very fun day :) more later!! bye!!!!

sorry its been so long aunt janet :)

just got home from my 6th straight day of work about 20 minutes ago and im wiped!!! today was not only my 6th day in a row but it was a 12 hr shift as well. it really wasnt that bad, i started training in the money room tonight and i have to say i like it better than being out in the last minute rush after the park closes that is the store haha but tonight the park closed at 6 to regular guests and we had sherwin williams rent out the park for a convention. i got home about 15 til 1 and i seriously think that my feet are swollen :/ they hurt really bad, BUT i made it and i get paid tomorrow (well today lol) and i have the next 2 days off so it will be fun in the parks for me and a roomie :) well just thought id post since i havent in about a week, but its been nonstop work so there wasnt much to blog about. maybe ill have more tomorrow after a day off haha later!! have a magical night!!

off days are so awesome!!! haha went out yesterday with one of the roommates and spent way too much money bahaha but i got a lot of stuff and it was all great deals lol we went to a couple of the cast member exclusive stores, one was just old season stuff and one was "damaged" (in this case damaged is a very very loose term, most things were perfectly fine but had a small pen mark or something like that) then went to magic kingdom for the rest of the night. we met a lot of characters and the woody and jessie we met by splash mountain were completely amazing!! i really wish i knew who their friends were so i can tell them how totally awesome and wonderful they were. they gave such big and tight hugs and made you feel like they truly cared about you and were happy that you came to see them, they were just amazing. we were able to wiggle our way up close to the semi-circle area right in front of the castle to watch the entire show of wishes. i absolutely and positively love fireworks and its such a great show. today we are going out again but we are taking our time getting everything ready hehe and not sure which park yet. meeting up with some friends of the family and my cousin for dinner at the rainforest cafe in downtown disney around 8 so that should be fun :)) well i think im off now, ill be back later!!! have a magical day! ºoº

hi ho, hi ho, its off to work we go...

lots and lots of working!! lol today was my last day of training!!! WHOOP WOOOO!!!!!!! haha not that its bad but its just a lot of information all in just a few hours for a few days so its brain-overload to the max!!! hehehe i am off for two days so my feet get some rest and i get to sleep past 5:30am :):):):) i passed my assessment test with 90% with needing 80% to pass but i was pretty freaked out while taking it. anyway, not a lot to report just that its a lot to learn in not a very long amount of time. oh yesterday was fun *sarcasm*...i was given a work schedule the day of park orientation which told me that i was working monday jan 18 from 11:30-8:00 training with tanya, so i get there at like 11:00 for my shift and a woman named joyce comes up to me and asks if im rebekah so i said yes and she told me that i was supposed to be there at 9:45 training with her and that they had been trying to call me and contact me because i was late. well after showing her my schedule they gave me, that was all fixed and i was no longer considered late. as the time gets closer to 11:30 a girl i had been training with comes in for her shift also 11:30-8:00 training with drew, comes in and finds out that drew is off for that day (not just called in, but scheduled to be off) so she ends up getting my original trainer who thought she would have me to train. yea it was a pretty crazy morning lol well now i think thats all so im off to wait for my pizza :):):):) park tomorrow with a roomie!! have a magical day!!

oops!! catch-up overview :)

Thursday i had the day off so i slept in and chilled around the apartment until Jordan came back. Then the two of us and Jackie (another girl from our apartment complex) went out to Downtown Disney for some walking/shopping around then came back to the apartment after a few hours and just hung out with everyone for the night. Yesterday was park orientation and it was pretty long. we walked all around the park for no less than 2 hours straight without any breaks then went to a fairly short presentation over the Disney Basics. After that we were introduced to a manager or two from our role department and were taken to get our costumes (which isnt a bad one but i look like an old lady/old school flight attendant). Today was my first day of training on stage with a trainer from our role for 8 and 1/2 hours with  two 30 minute breaks. we were told so much information but i feel like im picking up on most of it fairly quickly and easily. tomorrow i have what is called elab for merchantainment. ill be in at a computer for pretty much the whole time doing training videos and questions. im super excited today though because after i got back i convinced my mom to sign up for skype so we just had an almost 30 minute conversation via webcam, so i got to see my mom :):):):) but anyway thats pretty much the overview of my past couple days. my feet are tired but im holding up pretty nicely so thats good haha. well i think im off!! later!

Traditions ºoº

today was traditions class which was totally awesome!!! i had to get up super early and the class was really long and had a lot of information, but it was so much fun at the same time. we learned about the past, present, and future of the Disney company and it was amazing to see all the behind scenes stuff that goes on to make such a magical place. we had a very special guest that came to see us and delivered a present near the end of the day...Mickey Mouse, the big cheese himself, came to deliver our Disney name tags!! it was so cool, i felt like such a little kid getting all excited because Mickey came just for us haha :) but it was a really great day altogether. park orientation isnt until friday and training day 2 is saturday so i have another day off tomorrow and am planning to go to the parks with a couple of girls from my apartment complex that i meet last night on the bus back to the apartment (arent you pround mommy?!?!? :D ). tonight all the roomies minus one went out to dinner and hung out after everyone got back from traditions and it was a blast. well i think me and a couple roommates are gunna go watch a movie so until next time...

Check-in!!!

So yesterday was the big check-in day!! There was so much to do and it just kept going! lol Everything moved continuously and smoothly, except for the part where my name wasn't in the list of stickers of location assignments...but they still had me down the sticker just didn't print out. So with that said, I'll be working at Blizzard Beach water park!!! However, it is closed right now and will be until sometime in March. So until it opens back up I will be working in Disney's Hollywood Studios left-block merchandise!!!!! Not really sure where the left-block is but my park orientation is on Friday so I will know soon :). Today is a free day to get finished moving in and settled but we were able to get me all done yesterday so today ill be going to find my mom and sister in the park and spend the day with them. Tomorrow is Traditions class and i have to be up super early to be at the bus stop by 6:45 am, YUCK!!! Oh well, I'll have the rest of the day after class so I guess it won't be too bad. I have my park orientation on on Friday and training day 2 on Saturday so I'll try to get my pictures uploaded of the room on Thursday since I have that day off and my mom and sister will be back home :( and Jordan has her first day of training on that day. But until then...

just a week to go!!!

so today is officially the one week mark before i check in on the 11th!!! however i leave to the most wonderful place on earth in less than 2 days for a nice 5 day trip in the parks with my mom and sister before my check in day! im so excited and cant wait to get there!! im hoping for a shop on Main Street or Sunset Boulevard but ill be happy with just about anything cuz ill be in Disney World!! :):):):):):) im so ready but ill miss my home and parents and family and friends but i also know this is such an amazing opportunity and it will be really good for me. well thats bout it for now!! later! :)
