OMGracious!

Good gracious the time just flies!!! I have completely forgotten about my blog but will update now lol i am having a blast (as usual) but am a little back-and-forth on my location, which i completely forgot to say! i work in Stands West at MAGIC KINGDOM!! its a part of Quick Service Food & Beverage but its not the restaurants and its not all outdoor carts either, its kind of a mixture of the 2 lol but it covers Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square. my homeland is Frontier which i was not too happy about to begin with but i absolutely love it. i have been trained in Liberty (didnt care too much for it) and i havent been trained for but worked in Adventure (didnt care for it too much either but i did like Sunshine Tree) i love the people i work to death and have made some more truly great friends that i plan on keeping in touch with, i typically love working in my area, and i love most of my coordinators and a lot of the managers as well. so whats wrong? i feel like they dont care about whats going on or whats happing as long as they have their little worker to keep on working. for instance, one afternoon while busy at Golden Oak Outpost (our fried chicken and french fries location), i was putting chicken sandwich breasts into the holder to fry when it decides to go ahead and drop into the fryer splashing me with a bunch of 360º frying oil all over my side in its haste. now before you freak out, im perfectly fine i just got a bit shaken up, but i call to our main kitchen to ask for someone to come take my place while i go change into the extra costume i just so luckily had in my locker. on my way, i stop in at the manager's office to get some burn relief gel to put on when i changed and all they did was ask what happened and say "ok" to me going to change. when i came back fresh and still burning they just sent me right back to Outpost, not even asking if i was ok. what the crap?!?!?!? another instance, i was ridiculously sick to my stomach and just knew i was going to "spill my protein" and asked a coordinator if i could leave early, a manager came to me a little later and asked if i could make it the rest of my shift til 3AM! honestly, i couldnt but told him i could if i had to, but i ended up being able to leave only 4 hours later and 2 hours early from the end of my shift. im not trying to complain but you have got to be more concerned and care for your cast members if you want them to act accordingly in return. so anyway, ive been in a not-so-helpful mood towards going out of my way if i dont have to. but i do have 5 weeks left and it seems like the time as just blown right by. i am still not ready for school, but when am i ever. in other news, the yearly hours required for seasonal have been raised from 40 to 150 and at first i thought that was a crap ton but after a lot of thought ive realized its pretty do-able especially for the benefits lol and ive mentioned to several of my leaders that i hope to go seasonal and they have all said that i more then likely would get it which is great news. so now i can attend and be in Elizabeth's wedding next year and still come back, just not on the College Program!! but anyway i cant really think of anything else at the moment so im out!

i almost forgot! ED GOT HIS INVITE!!!!!! he finally received his invitation to attend the Summer Alumni Program with me and Em a couple days ago as an attractions cast member! im not 100% sure if he has officially accepted it yet, he was supposed to on Friday. i will say im a bit upset/jealous that they both got attractions and i didnt but im really just glad that we all made it in and will be having the most epic summer in the history of summers in just 2 and a half months (refer to Emily for specific amount of days lol). update on school and stress is that things are looking up. after a much needed breakdown, i came out on the other side with a renewed sense of motivation and determination to get through this semester and do it with good grades. still a bit stressed but much more stable with it. thats about all i can think of at the moment but will report back if/when something comes up :) ttfn, ta ta for now!

IM GOING BACK!!!!!

it is now official as of roughly 8pm last night! i applied and was accepted into the Summer Alumni Program for this summer as a QSF&B cast member! im so excited and cannot wait!! my arrival and departure dates for the program are May 16-August 12 :) so now all i have to do is make it through the rest of these 3 months of classes with good grades so that my parental units will actually allow me to go (although the $300 nonrefundable fees that have now been paid should help persuade them lol). i will admit that this semester has already been just downright awful and is truly testing my strength and self-will with school and has been extremely difficult so far. however, with the help of the 3 months in Disney to look forward to with one of my best friends (who i met on my last program) as a roommie and a small, yet apparently powerful mental and emotional breakdown last week, i now have a new, determined attitude toward my schoolwork and with the help of my glorious God, i will achieve good grades and conquer this dreadful thing of school that is so important in todays society and economy. so until my last final which is no later than May 5, i will have little to no life that does not revolve around school and art projects haha but ill make, no worries about that, Disney is just too important to me and too much a part of my life and long-term life/job goals for me to screw up now. any encouragement or help from my friends and family is always appreciated :))

allll-moosttt therrreee!!

2 weeks from now i will be on my way to atlanta if not already there!!!!!!!! i am soooo EXCITED!!!! i am truly going to miss my friends that ive made down here but i cant wait to be home :) i never thought id miss soddy daisy this much hahaha ok so i dont remember what i did the next day off after last post but it was a good day lol since then i got sick again with allergies and sinus issues but am all better now. there is WAAAAYYYYY too much pollen down here. i never had any problems with it before but there is a ridiculous amount here lol anyway i got to hang out with jordan both days off a couple weeks ago and it was tons of fun. the first day we went to magic kingdom with will (one of jordans coworkers) and spent pretty much the whole day there and got poured on! but it was still a lot of fun lol we hung out the next day too but neither one of us remember what we did haha then it was back to work for 5 days. mrs leigh and her family came down on saturday the 24th and after work on sunday i met up with them at epcot for a few hours. monday morning was a bit frustrating. i woke up and got ready for work at blizzard like normal but right before i walked out the door our apartment phone rang so i answered it since half the apartment was still asleep and the lady asked for me and said that i was being deployed for the day to upper frontierland for my shift that was supposed to start in ONE HOUR!! so needless to say i wasnt going to make that since i had to catch a completely different bus and get a different costume so they pushed my shift back and i worked at magic kingdom. it wasnt too bad once i actually got there. the shirt and skirt outfit was ugly but pretty comfy so it was alright. after work me jordan jayne and christie went out to dinner. we were supposed to go to chilis which i have been craving and having withdrawals from for months now but changed the plans and ended up eating at a mexican place called chevys since it was easier to get to. it wasnt chilis but it was really good! then i was off the next 2 days and spent most of the day tuesday with mrs leigh again. tuesday night me and jordan were really hyper and stayed up kinda late so we pulled jaynes mattress and the couch cushions into our room floor and me jordan jayne and paula had a mini sleepover and fell asleep watching the lion king. after sleeping for less than 5 hours i got up and washed my hair and went to magic kingdom with a few friends from studios and spent the entire day there. so much fun!!!!!! we rode a lot of rides including the little kid rides like the flying carpets and the merry-go-round :) it was so much fun though. we stayed for spectromagic and wishes and it made me start to cry because im not gunna get to see it when i go home and cuz ill miss them a BUNCH! so then i worked thursday and yesterday was GRADUATION!!! i have officially graduated my college program with graduation ears and diploma :D yayayay!!! me and jordan and katie went to graduation around 10:30-11ish and got our diploma, grad ears, picture with graduation mickey and minnie, and lunch. it was pretty fun but kinda boring at the same time so we left around 12:30 and then me and jordan went to magic kingdom and got our ears monogramed :) jordan worked at 7:45 so we just walked around and chilled til she had to go in and then i rode the home with alex and ren and we went to rens apartment and watched a couple of movies. it was a lot of fun :) im going to miss them sooo soooooooo much! and then it was back to work today. mom and meredith come back down one the 9th and will stay here til i leave and then we will head to atlanta on the 15th and stay the night there then head home later that afternoon/evening. oh i cant wait!!! but for now thats all! just 13 more days!!! :)

did i mention i only have one month left yet?? lol

anyway so with one month exactly as of today (4 weeks and 2 days to be even more exact lol) im getting very anxious and ready to go home. im having a blast and its been the best decision i have ever made about my life and the only major one that i was truly peaceful and excited about. my quest for knowledge from the Lord for my major still hasnt shown to be much clearer yet but i have full faith that in His own time when its 100% perfectly right He will let me know what my life direction should be. in the mean time i registered for classes in the direction of graphic design (finally, yes i know jordan lol) and havent really had any doubts with that decision yet but still havent felt truly at peace with it yet either. so with that said i am definitely coming home haha and i still have the summer to hear God's answer before classes start. the sibleys came down on saturday night and i was able to meet up with them when they got here and could not have been happier to see them! the zahands were next to arrive the following afternoon and the parishes later that evening. i had so much fun with all of them! i was able to be given tuesday and wednesday off as well so i had a full 4 days off to spend time with my family. we hopped parks a lot but had a blast doing it. wednesday morning was a bit frustrating only in that i got up and ready and waited to hear from the group when and where we would start the day. not hearing from meredith that morning i had assumed she was unable to board the previous flight and wouldnt be landing in orlando until around 4ish. so i had my things packed for the 2 nights i was staying at pop century with her and after hearing from the crew i headed to animal kingdom which is the park they chose to start at. i made it to a.k. by the time a bus had arrived at pop so to kill time i walked around the front store just outside the park and picked up sunscreen which i had forgotten to put in my bag before leaving. after i finished in the store i went on in the park taking my time too. the second i went through the turnstile into the park my phone starts ringing merediths ringtone. sure enough, she was able to catch the earlier flight but her phone was dying so she couldnt call me before hand but was now in orlando. so i had to turn around and leave to got to my apartment, pick up my stuff, catch a bus to pop century and check us into the hotel. btw the bus to pop century takes 50 minutes before it finally gets there. 50 minutes!!! so by the time the two of us caught up with everyone at animal kingdom it had been 4 hours or so and 4 bus rides later. i sat on a bus for practically 1 1/2 to 2 hours straight at one point. it was not fun. but we reached a.k. in plenty of time to ride some rides and eat at their rainforest cafe and the rest of the day was perfect! the 4 days went by too quickly and left me missing home and the rest of my family even more. but like i said earlier im hanging in and not giving up until i finish this program to its end. im sticking with it, mostly so i can rub it into merediths face who thought that i wouldnt even get in the car to come down here lol jk but thatll be icing on the cake haha i was off today and will be tomorrow too. today i finished reading the last song which only took me like 3 or 4 days to read and it was amazing!! and after that me and jayne went to publix, lunch, and by the pool and are getting ready to go to buffalo wild wings later. all in all a great and relaxing day. it has been such a great experience and opportunity and i cant say it enough. it has truly helped me in my life and has changed me some for the better. i still have one project left to complete before my mom will be 100% satisfied but other than that its been amazing and i havent regretted one moment down here. but again, im ready to be home and these next few weeks cannot go by fast enough! but im gunna make the most of it since im here and determined not to leave :) anyway i think thats all! bye!!!

so i like blizzard beach! its so laid back and the day goes by fairly quickly with is nice since i get longer shifts there. we are fairly busy in the morning and then slow down during the afternoon then get busy again at closing with everybody returning their locker keys. there are a few other cps that transferred with me so im not the only one there which is nice because we all tend to get along real well and pretty fast too because we are all going through the same thing. even though the days go by soon enough they do tend to drag after 8 in a row lol but i survived my 8 days straight of working without a break and have enjoyed these past two days off. yesterday i slept late then went to lunch, publix, laid out and cooked dinner with jayne. it was such a great day!! today i slept even later lol but got up and gathered all my dirty clothes to wash, then went to get a package and the mail. i got a nice easter card from mommy and daddy :) (thanks!!) then came back and spent some nice relaxing time out on the balcony with my nose in a book (crazy love is pretty much amazing btw even though ive only read 3 chapters--thanks leigh and tonia!!) and spent some time alone with my book, journal, and the Lord, then went and sat by the pool for a little while catching the last few minutes of the warm sunshine. another really good day. the sibleys, zahands, and parishes are coming in just a couple days and i cant wait!! meredith comes again a few days later on wednesday and im off thursday and friday so that works perfectly that i get to see them all at the same time. but we also have another inspection right in the middle of their trip so along with working and visiting i have to clean too :P yuck! oh well it wasnt so bad and we passed the last one so its all good. just one month and about a week and ill be on my way home!! cant wait, even though ive had a great time here so far i miss home :) anyway i think thats all so im off to eat some dinner!! later!
